Objective: to specify and develop research for the development of plant protection strategies that are safe for the society and the environment, operate the Virtual Laboratory and press the Recommended Competence Center (EPC), optimize and reduce the use of pesticides, use of available alternative technologies and plant protection strategies based on the new, in-depth knowledge of biology of harmful organisms, popularization and dissemination of knowledge about products of plant protection strategies.

Achieved results and list of publications: As part of the ENDURE subtasks, integrative work has been undertaken to develop and test innovative plant protection strategies by using existing European decision support systems in plant protection (DSS) and which will help optimize and reduce pesticide use. Based on the analysis of existing systems, ‘their best elements’ were identified and general (overall) requirements and / or creation of new decision systems (platforms) were determined. Initially, five prototypes of decision systems were built for individual plant host  pest / pathogen systems, technical and organizational requirements for creating and testing ready prototypes (platform) were specified; the works concerned prototypes of systems for 1 / potato blight in potato, 2 / diseases in horticultural crops 3 / diseases in field crops, 4 / pests, 5 / weeds.
